Can U Lion Dance?
I was at Ngee Ann City watching the 2007 Lion Dance Championships last Friday and am greatly amazed at the multi-tasking skills of the lion dancers (particularly the ones in front). I am in great awe coz most men I know cant multi-task. They cannot talk on the phone while working on their comp at the same time! That’s why the world’s greatest drivers are women ha ha ha!

My highest record of multi-tasking is doing 4 things at one time – watch dvd, chat on msn, chat on phone, read forum all at same time and I tink its quite a feat already considering that this guy I know cant talk to me and read his forum at the same time.
That’s why I am greatly amazed at lion dancers! They have to twitch the lion’s ears, blink the eyes, open/close the mouth and still prance on the stilts. Woah! Doing 5 things at the same time..no wonder they are a rare lot. In a whole troupe of more than 20 people, maybe only 1 can make it to be a front lion dancer, the next better one who can do 3 things at a time (hold waist, prance and shake backside) end up being the back lion dancer while the rest maybe spend the rest of their lives being stilt holders or better ones being gong-ers or drummers…
