i'm feeling a super big wave of relief and finally i can sleep in peace tonite.

actually, when i first got nominated into the committee, all i felt was 'damn sian lor'.

first of all, i have team mates whom i do not know and have no intention of knowing very well.

secondly, i know i will have to listen to a lot of crap and complaints from our office people.

Of course, there are nice people in office, but there are more crappier ones.

After working on it for a full year..actually about half a year la since we started off pretty late.. i'm really glad that i have nominated for the right chairperson.

I really have to give it to her for being so patient. Because if its me, i would have gave 'Mr SLOW MOTION' left, right and centre dunno for how many thousand times already!!!

Eg

scenario: everyone is unloading things from the car to the hall.

i am unpacking things and i see mr slow motion resting in the corner for some time.

me: Mr Slow Motion,  why are u standing there after just 1 trip?

MSM: oh ya hor..ok, i go and see whether gt more things

(To myself: of course have la!!! what makes u think that the other two people are still nt up yet!!)

Eg many occasions!

me: MSM, can you go and do this and that blah blah blah

MSM: (in super slow manner) aiya..later la...lalaala..

Besides Mr MSM, i also want to give many other people left right centre lor.

Eg. 

me: we are considering going overseas for the retreat la..maybe Batam or Bintan

colleague 1: yippee!! sounds like fun (ok, this response i like)

colleague 2: huh? can dun go or not. i wan to go home at nite (hello! are u 9 yrs old?)

colleague 3: huh? i dun like to go overseas (once in a while go will die meh?)

colleague 4: sian lei! go with office people where gt fun (me: ... feels like grabbing a fork!)

Eg.

me: we are planning to play paintball

coll 1: huh! i have heart problem! (err.why no heart problem when u take aeroplane overseas?)

coll 2: i cannot.. (then give scared face) (me: *roll eyes* its just a simple 3 mins game lor)

coll 3: i cannot coz i gt asthma (do u avoid fireworks too?)

because of all these scaredy cats, i have to dunno change the team combinations dunno hw many times.

The worst is this

coll 1: cass ah, i am not staying tonite.

(repeat this like 500 times by different people)

Hello!!! u all are adults. If you want to go home, by all means just go la. U can go quietly and come back on time the next day one mah. U go around telling the whole world... X like 500 people doing that, u see anyone will not be tl or not. its very irritating to keep hearing the same things over and over. Its not as if i'm gng to knock on your doors and conducting checks on you.

And countless of naggings and naggings.

coll 1: Why u put me in this team? u know i dun like xx one mah. end up i very sian to play the game. so i not happy. 

(this is the most commonly heard X say it for 700 times).

Thats why i chose to let the events company decide on the grouping. If everyone can have their way, it will not be called an 'office retreat', it will be called 'the self-paid holiday'.

I just hope some people can get it right.

And of course, only people who organise it will truly understand.
